Dr. Nazrin Lee

Dr Nazrin Lee is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. She is a medical practitioner who specializes

in the diagnosis and the treatment of disorders of thinking, feeling and/or behaviour affecting children, adolescents, and their families. 

Nazrin brings with her, expertise gained in her many years' at tertiary-level child and adolescent mental health services in Australia.

She still works part time as a Consultant C A Psychiatrist at the Austin Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Melbourne.

She also has many years experience working with disadvantaged children in remote areas of the Kimberley in Western Australia. 

Her philosophy is that with a collaborative and holistic approach to her patients' needs, she achieves the highest possible standard of care for all her patients. Through a comprehensive assessment which involves 4 initial sessions (a family assessment, a parents only interview, an assessment of the child and a feedback session) she tries to understand the unique challenges and difficulties a patient faces so that effective treatment can be discussed and implemented.  She believes in the importance of establishing a therapeutic relationship, the degree to which a patient feels listened to and understood. 

She also works collaboratively with parents and Clinical Psychologists as they often know the particular struggles a child is facing, but may be unclear as to the best way to proceed.  By working together, treatment choices can be discussed and chosen that is based on the current evidence that guides treatment.
